The journey has begun!

Over the last few days, I feel like I have really begun my journey with my MAPP.  It is a totally new experience for me and I have to say I'm at the stage of being slightly over whelmed by it all,  my mind feels like it has a lots of country lanes to go down and really explore my journey so far. At the same time, I am excited to really take my knowledge and experiences to the next level, I really want to do this and do it to the best of my ability.

 My previous blogs,  have been about the start of my reflective journey on what I do and experience within my practice day to day. I wanted to 'get them on paper', whether they are right or wrong. I know that |I need to continue to develop my thought process for this journey, I understand that it will change as I progress through the course. At the moment,  I just need to have belief in my reflections and remember that everybody's journey will be different!

The next chapter in my MAPP!

It was really great to feel reconnected to the MAPP community following the 'welcome' skype, an opportunity to refresh and re-ignite the passion of exploring further into our professional practices. As I now begin module two of the MAPP, I wanted to add a few of my thoughts to help those who are starting module one: I enrolled into the programme quite late and so I didn't fully engage into the expectations of the first module early enough to feel that I fully understood what I needed to do and I panicked!  This is were I found the blogs so helpful and they gave me a great insight and a much deeper understanding of the direction that I needed to be going in.  Reading the blogs also made me appreciate the wealth of knowledge that we have as a community, the value in us sharing it and also to act as a trigger to reflect on our own practices and experiences. Almost at the End of My MA Journey!

It is now nearing the end of my MA journey, which seems incredible that the time has passed so quickly! This journey was a positive that came from some dark times during the pandemic and enabled me to  experience and achieve an MA!  I am thankful to have had this time to re-evaluate and perhaps reset and develop a new approach to my practice ready for post pandemic. This opportunity has enabled me to put some formal recognition to incorporate all of the different experiences I have had within my practice, which I am so grateful for.  I am hoping that my MA will enable me to continue the development of my teaching through the input of new learnings, reflections and a renewed enthusiasm into my practice.   In this module, having the three methods of communication were ideal, an opportunity to show where your strengths may lie, and realize those that are still a struggle!  Writing the review has helped to contextualize my research, however, I know that I can still ...

Knowledge, Learning and Information

Following the MAPP discussion group on Sunday, here are my thoughts on knowledge, learning and information. Reflecting on Knowledge adds to our learning. Learning to understand information, extends our knowledge.  Using information, to understand our knowledge.  Passing on our knowledge as information for others to add to their knowledge. Sharing information that enables learning to take place.  Understanding the knowledge you have and how to use it.  Learning, develops our knowledge. The cycle of information-learning-knowledge.
