Knowledge, Learning and Information
Following the MAPP discussion group on Sunday, here are my thoughts on knowledge, learning and information.
Reflecting on Knowledge adds to our learning.
Learning to understand information, extends our knowledge.
Using information, to understand our knowledge.
Passing on our knowledge as information for others to add to their knowledge.
Sharing information that enables learning to take place.
Understanding the knowledge you have and how to use it.
Learning, develops our knowledge.
Learning to understand information, extends our knowledge.
Using information, to understand our knowledge.
Passing on our knowledge as information for others to add to their knowledge.
Sharing information that enables learning to take place.
Understanding the knowledge you have and how to use it.
Learning, develops our knowledge.
The cycle of information-learning-knowledge.
Through the journey of the modules, I feel that I have used knowledge, learning and information differently in each one.
In module one, learning the extent of my knowledge through my experiences to give me information for my areas of learning.
In module two, absorbing the information and learning how to use it to create my inquiry proposal that then became knowledge.
In module three, I believe I will use my learning to absorb the information from my data collection, literature and my own theories that will evolve into knowledge that will continue the learning process.
Understanding how we use these key elements on our journey of the MA is truly individual but there's no denying that we will use them all in some way.
I like how you have discovered different uses for these elements throughout the course. I feel moving from module one into two, I have seen my ideas behind the theories change, especially after our group meeting. Hearing about other peoples thoughts and perceptions behind the words is allowing me to grow. I'm glad that I'm developing a deeper understanding of these terms and how I use them in my practice. I'm looking forward to enhancing my understanding further during module two!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about you all on module 2 and module 3 and how it all comes together! I feel like I'm swimming through treacle with my thoughts at the moment. I cannot wait for this all to become clear.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see how you can feel how you've used it all in different ways in each module as well.
Hi Charlotte, I think that treacle is an excellent word to describe the journey and that is relatable in all the modules, however, it will become clearer especially when you begin to relate your thoughts and experiences with those found in the literature and theories around your thoughts. That’s what helped me to make sense of my experiences and the direction that they led me to in recognizing my learning. You’ll get there and turn that treacle into syrup!
